Indian TV channel Big Magic is now available on public broadcaster Doordarshan (DD)’s free-to-air satellite platform DD Free Dish.

The Reliance Broadcast Network-owned channel has returned to DD Free Dish on 18 December, after rejuvenating its content to include more topical and humorous shows, according to local reports.

Big Magic carries programmes including Fakebook, Ji Sirjee, Family Fortunes, Lete Hain Khabar, Comedy Ka Rocket and Nautanki News.

“The reason why we went off the platform in the first place was to fill the gaps in our content. The content needs to be a slice of life and topical; only then people will cherish it. We made a gradual move towards more non-fiction from fiction and now we think we have adequate content to go back to the platform,” Ashwin Padmanabhan, COO, Reliance Broadcast Network told Indiantelevision.com.

The channel is now available across all of India’s direct-to-home (DTH) satellite platforms as well as the country’s major cable networks.
