| 18 December 2015
The second instalment of Balaji Telefilms and Marinating Films’ Box Cricket League (BCL) will be shown in India on Colors and Colors HD from 28 February 2016.
The six-month long celebrity reality show will air every Sunday at 4.30pm on the Viacom18 pay-TV channels, with a repeat showing on sister channel Rishtey.
“We genuinely believe in the format and felt that if it’s strategically positioned well, packaged and marketed with a creative tweak to the format, then it has the potential to make it big this time,” Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors told Indiantelevision.com.
“Cricket is just a backdrop, it has drama, emotions and passion. BCL can be a great reality show. We air movies in the 4.30pm evening slot and we garnered the maximum ratings. I think if the content is good then people will follow it.”
The cricket league will comprise ten teams each featuring both female and male celebrities.
Sony Entertainment Television aired the first series of the BCL.
