SpinCo gets a CFO ahead of Comcast-TWC merger decision

Comcast has appointed Matt Siegel as CFO of SpinCo, the company that it plans to spin off to Charter Communications’ control as part of its $45 billion proposed mega-merger with Time Warner Cable (TWC).

Siegel is at present the senior vice president and treasurer of TWC, in charge of investment management, real estate, supply chain management and risk management. He has been with the company since May 2008.

Prior to that, he worked with Time Warner Inc as its vice president and assistant treasurer — a role he had taken on in 2001. And before joining Time Warner, Siegal was the senior vice president of finance and treasurer at Insight Communications, a cable operator located in the Midwest and New York.

Siegal graduated from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and completed his MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago's Graduate
