Global media content company A+E Networks has expanded its EMEA operations with two senior executive appointments.

A+E Networks has claimed significant growth across EMEA in the last year, including the launch of its first European-based wholly owned operation in Italy; launch of Lifetime and H2 in the UK; launch of A&E and CI in France; and the launch of HISTORY in Russia. Building on this momentum, Kiaran Saunders has been named EMEA vice president while Jon Wildman will take up the newly created role of vice president, ad sales in the region.

Joining from Nickelodeon UK where he was vice president, commercial director Saunders will be responsible for A+E Networks' growth strategy and execution, and branded channel and digital distribution across EMEA. He will be complemented by Wildman who will be responsible for overseeing and expanding A+E Networks' ad sales operations across EMEA, working closely with A+E Networks' channel partners, sales representatives and other stakeholders. Formerly, Wildman worked for Sony Pictures Television where he managed Sony's EMEA ad sales business.
