Ralf Gabor, former distribution director for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries at Turner Broadcasting System Deutschland, will join Munich-based media company Mainstream Media on February 2, 2015.

As vice president distribution and business development of subsidiary Mainstream Networks Holding, one of the key tasks of the 38-year old will be the expansion of the international TV business. Mainstream Networks Holding operates pay-TV channel Romance TV in Poland and plans further projects in Asia and Africa.

Gabor’s additional tasks include the development and implementation of concepts for new channels as well as linear and non-linear strategies for Mainstream Media’s existing channels in the German-language countries.

The company operates pay-TV channels Romance TV, Heimatkanal and GoldStar TV as well as children’s window YEP! on free-to-air channel ProSieben Maxx.

Gabor’s successor at Turner Broadcasting System will be Benjamin Pirker.
