Flama, the over-the-top (OTT) video network aimed at Hispanic millennials across the US, will be available on Hulu, following a distribution deal between both streaming platforms. The agreement will add five top programmes from the digital network to Hulu's growing library for the Latino audience.
Among the content to stream on Hulu, Flama will launch the new episodes of Saving Lives plus all episodes of its original series including Taking on America, Drop the Mic with Becky G, Chachi's Dance to Uforia and The Bodega.
“We are proud of our pioneering partnership with Hulu,” said Steven Benanav, general manager of Flama.
“From Univision joining Hulu in 2012 as the anchor network for its first Spanish offering to now working with them to launch English-language Flama originals, this newest venture is a perfect partnership. Flama amplifies the reach of digital native talent into a new premium platform and Hulu consistently improves the future of television.”
Flama is a multi-platform digital network targeting Hispanic young audiences and owned and operated by the Hispanic media company Univision and Bedrocket Media Ventures, a digital programming and innovation company.
“Flama's innovative content brings a large audience of youthful viewers to expand Hulu's efforts within the Latino market,” said Rodrigo Mazon, director of content acquisitions at Hulu. “We’re proud to continue growing our relationship with the Univision family.”
“Flama’s creators live on social, mobile and digital just like its audience,” added Brian Bedol, founder and CEO of Bedrocket.
“Since its launch just over a year ago, Flama has premiered more than 20 original series in partnership with some of the most influential next generation talent.”
